Garment industry is down 24% from April of last year.

It seems that the garment industry, which contributes a lot to the economy of this country, has suffered a severe collapse.

The income earned from garment exports in April this year is 318 million US dollars. That’s a whopping 24% drop compared to the $526 million it earned in April last year.

In the first four months of this year, the revenue earned from garment exports has dropped by 17% compared to the revenue earned in the first four months of last year.

After April 2018, the apparel industry recorded its lowest earnings in April this year.

Apparel exports to the United States have dropped by 25.5% in April. Exports to the European market fell by 27.53% and apparel exports to the UK fell by 26.7%.
