The Kilinochchi Magistrate’s Court has granted bail to Mr. Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, who was arrested at his home this morning (07).
The MP was arrested this morning by a team of officers from Maradankeni and Jayapuram police stations.
It was reported that the arrest was made in connection with a dispute with a group of police officers near an examination center in Vadamarachchi area.
Yesterday (06) the Kilinochchi Magistrate’s Court also ordered to impose a foreign travel ban on Mr. Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, Member of Parliament, in relation to that incident.
