Samagi Jana Balawegaya Mr. Rajitha Senaratne, a member of Parliament and former minister, and three others were served with amended charge sheets before the Colombo High Court.
This is based on allegations that in 2014, when he was Minister of Fisheries, he caused a loss to the government by leasing the Modara fishing port to a private company at a low price.
The defence lawyers informed the court that the documents to be provided by the Bribery Commission had not been provided in full, and the court adjourned to allow the defence lawyers time to check and inform the court again about this.
The case will be heard again on June 16.
