According to this, the approval of police OICs to give police bail to drunken drivers will be cancelled.
The DIG in charge of the traffic division has indicated in a verbal notification that all the traffic station commanders have been summoned that measures should be taken to direct the arrested drunk drivers to the court without giving them police bail.
It is reported that although there was a possibility of issuing the vehicle to a third party earlier, it has also been suspended.
