Dinesh Gunawardena reportedly assumed the position of prime minister, however he has not yet relocated to “Temple Trees.”
Mr. Gunawardena assumed the post of prime minister immediately and began efforts to deliver a sermon on the Dharma of the temple.
The President and former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa were also present.
However, he has not yet moved into ‘Temple Trees’ the PM official residence.
The Prime Minister continues to dwell at Hector Kobbekaduwa Mawatha, the government house.
Many claim that the Prime Minister has not relocated to Araliya Gaha Madura out of concern that the government is unstable and a political crisis is imminent.
