Minister of State Diana Gamage said today that she is extremely happy with the proposal presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe for the cultivation of cannabis in Sri Lanka.
“I am very happy that the President has understood the value of this herb. It is an industry that can provide many job opportunities. This is why I promoted it. I expect to bring in more than two billion dollars of investment through cannabis cultivation next year.” said the minister. “I made this proposal some time ago,” she recalled.
