The Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, warned that “parangis” who have studied and lived abroad cannot allow nightlife, nightclubs, casinos, ganja, etc. to be added to the culture.

The Cardinals asked the Sangha to prevent such foolishness from destroying this country’s culture and civilization, which is nurtured by noble Buddhism.

Cardinals also advised against implementing IMF or World Bank rules that are unsuitable for the country.

The Archbishop of Colombo also warned politicians against selling Sri Lanka or granting shares to foreign firms to gain power and influence.

Malcolm Cardinal, Archbishop of Colombo, stated this yesterday (10) during the opening of St. Peter’s College’s three-story structure in Kurana, Negombo.
