British PM says he won’t attend UN climate conference owing to domestic concerns, including preparations for an emergency budget on November 17.

The office of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said that he will not attend the main United Nations Climate Conference in Egypt next month. This is because of problems at home, such as getting ready for an emergency budget on November 17.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said on Friday that Britain was right to focus on “addressing domestic challenges” on climate change rather than attend the COP27 climate conference starting next month in Egypt.
