Bread Rs 200 in Jaffna

Kandasamy Gunaratnam, President of Jaffna District Bakery Owners’ Cooperative Association, says that the price of bread in Jaffna will not be increased to 300 rupees and a loaf of bread will be sold at 200 rupees as before.

The Chairman of the Bakery Owners’ Association said that the Prima Company has not increased the price of wheat flour, and said that the bakery owners of Jaffna are still given a bundle of wheat flour by that company for 12,500 rupees.

Kandasamy, President of Jaffna District Bakery Owners’ Cooperative Association, said that due to the increase in the prices of wheat flour received by the Colombo bakery owners, they raised the price of a loaf of bread to Rs. Gunaratnam noted
