Authorities apprehend a police thief who robbed a house with three others.

According to the Wellampitiya Police, three individuals, including a police constable, who looted a home in Meethotamulla, Wellampitiya, under the guise of seeking for narcotics were detained as members of the Police Anti-Narcotics Bureau.

A police officer assigned to the division of parliament has been arrested.

The robbers taken away cash 10,000 rupees and four silver rings valued at approximately 38,000 rupees.

According to the police, a police officer and three others gone to the residence, spent a few minutes there, plundered the stuff, and then handcuffed and detained the owner.

The house’s owners, who were concerned due to the appearance of tattoos on one of the visitors, alerted the Police Emergency Call Unit, and Wellampitiya Police officers rushed to the scene and detained the culprits. According to the police, four suspects have arrived for the heist, but one has gone.

According to the police, the constable who plotted the robbery provided the other three robbers with T-shirts and a jacket worn by special task force officers on motorbikes.

According to the police, the arrested officer and the other three perpetrated this heist in order to purchase drugs.
