Mr. Nihal Weeraratne, President of the Electricity Board’s Engineers Union, says that outsiders will not be given the opportunity to provide training in their institutions.
He points out that such an effort was launched in the past.

“Recently, we have seen that the government has tried to introduce militarization, especially to the Port Authority and the Electricity Board.”
“They came to our institutions and tried to get training regarding our work.”
“But today we unanimously decided that we are not ready to conduct any training activities for outsiders in our institutions from now on.”
