The police fired tear gas and water cannons at a protest by the Inter-University Student Council in flower road area of Colombo.
This protest is being held demanding the release of Wasantha Mudalige and Galwewa Siridhamma Thero who are in prison.
Due to that, the police had taken steps to close the Bauddaloka Mawatha in Colombo
