Mr. K.M. Lakmal Dayaratne, a resident of Monaragala Galbadda, discovered a parcel of gold goods containing two gold necklaces, a ring, and a pendant worth four and a half lakh rupees near Monaragala town’s market place.
He works in the accounting department of a financial institution in Monaragala town, and today (21) afternoon, while on his way to a city institution for a personal need, he discovered this gold parcel lying near a shop in town. He immediately went to the Monaragala Police Headquarters and met with the Chief Inspector of Police, P.S.C Sanjeeva, and arrangements were made to hand over the goods to the Monaragala Police Station on his instructions.
