The Sunday Times reports that a meeting between Alliraja Subhaskaran, a key figure related to the Dravidian diaspora, and President Ranil Wickramasinghe has recently taken place.
The newspaper reports that in this meeting, there was also a discussion about bringing the investments of businessmen related to the Tamil Diaspora to Sri Lanka.
After that, Alliraja Subhaskaran met the LTTE prisoners who were pardoned by the President recently.
It is said that Subaskaran has held a dinner for them at a hotel in Tarupaha and some amount of money has been given to the released prisoners to plan their future lives.
