In today’s Alavwa local council’s budget poll, the ruling party was defeated for the second time.
The total number of members is 28 and only 9 votes were received in favor of the budget.
17 votes were received against the budget.
Although Pohottuwa has 15 MPs, only 5 of them voted in favor of the budget.
Nine Pohottu councilors voted against the budget, and two were absent.
