After being assaulted by stateminister’s goons, the owner of an Omani garment factory attempts to leave.

The owner of Katana Al Obeidan Apparel Factory, which was attacked by a mob led by a state minister representing Gampaha district, has begun the evacuation process.

The evacuation process is said to have begun on the 4th, and in the preliminary stage, the owner has taken steps to remove a large stock of fabric from the factory and send it to an Oman factory.

A group of its employees has also joined a protest movement against the factory’s closure.

It is reported that they had arranged to block the goods so that they could not be taken out of the factory.

Later, the police intervened and removed the protesters and provided facilities to remove the raw materials from the factory.

After being attacked by a group of people who claimed to be supporters of the Minister of State on the night of last March 30, the Omani businessman who is the owner of this factory has never come to his factory site in Katane.

According to sources, the necessary steps are being taken to sell this factory and its land to another private company.

The goons of the state minister brutally assaulted the owner and security personnel of the factory and damaged the property due to a dispute that occurred while going to the factory to provide vehicles on rental basis.
