A parliamentary select committee to probe into the cricket crisis! 2 conditions from SJB! Sri Lanka Latest News

It has been decided in today’s special party leaders’ meeting to appoint a parliamentary select committee to look into the cricket crisis that has caused great controversy. Sri Lanka Latest News

The SJB has decided to agree to this proposal on two conditions.

The two conditions are that the number of MPs representing the ruling party and the opposition in the relevant selection committee should be equal, and the position of co-chairmanship should be held by the opposition.

However, the ruling party has agreed to the first of these two conditions, that is, to appoint a number of co-members from the government and the opposition, and it has been learned that there has been no agreement between the two parties regarding co-chairmanship.

Sources indicate that if the Samagi Jana Balawega does not get the co-presidentship and co-membership in a manner acceptable to them, the party has decided to boycott the committee in the same manner they boycotted the committee appointed to find out who bankrupted the country under the chairmanship of Mr. Pohottu Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam.
