A lawyer who worked in the Palmadulla Magistrate’s Court has been mysteriously found dead on the bed in a room of her house.
Dushmanthi Abeyratne, a 40-year-old lawyer residing at Bulathwelgoda address, Pelmadulla, died in this way.
After the Magistrate’s investigation, the Magistrate ordered the police to take the dead body to the Kahawatta Base Hospital and send it to a forensic doctor to conduct a post-mortem and submit the report to the court.
The Palmadulla police say that the husband of the deceased lawyer has been summoned to the police to obtain a statement regarding the death.
