The Department of Meteorology is warning that the low pressure zone that has been created around the Bay of Bengal may develop into a cyclone.
Due to this, the current rain situation is expected till the coming 25th Tuesday, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Also, due to the development of the low pressure zone in the sea area around the Bay of Bengal, rain is seen in several areas of the island.
A heavy rainfall of 138.5 mm was reported from Kurunegala Tampana area. It is the most in the country in the last hour.
