40 Govt institutions to be privatized?

The opposition leader, Lakshman Kiriella, stated that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has requested that 40 state institutions be privatised as a condition for lending money to Sri Lanka, which is in a financial crisis.

According to Lankadeepa, MP Kiriella stated that the opposition will support the proposal when it is presented in Parliament.

According to MP Lakshman Kiriella, the President has stated that in order to obtain IMF assistance, a firm financial plan must be followed.
