12 hour power cuts soon : Public Utilities Commission!

The Public Utilities Commission says that if the required amount of coal is not brought, there will be a 12-hour power cut.

“Due to the rainfall in recent days, there are water reserves for electricity generation. Since there is coal needed until October, the power cut can be limited to two hours. Because these days we don’t use fuel to generate electricity.

But by the month of December, we have to prepare the necessary provisions for importing coal. Coal can be imported only between October and April. If the required amount of coal is not brought, there will be a power cut for at least 12 hours,” said Janaka Ratnayake, chairman of the Public Utilities Commission.
