Superstar Rajinikanth has started shooting for his new movie ‘Jailer’ produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar with Anirudh scoring the music. It has been officially announced that Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and Vasanth Ravi are in the cast while other big names such as Shivarajkumar and Tamannaah are also said to be on board.
Meanwhile the hot news has broken out in Kollywood that Rajinikanth has okayed young director Cibi Chakravarthy to helm his next film ‘Thalaivar 170’. It is said that he liked the humour laden commerical script that Cibi narrated and Lyca Productions will be bankrolling. Anirudh is said to be in talks to compose the music and the project will go on floors in April 2023. The official announcement is expected in the next few weeks.
Cibi Chakravarthy an associate of Atlee first hit the limelight by conceptualizing the “Kutty Story” song video in Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Master’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He made his directorial debut with ‘Don’ starring Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Mohan, SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani, Soori, Balasaravanan, Muniskanth and Kaali Venkat.
